@bobotea1234 From the description of the video: "mobile robot system developed to provide mobility to infants with physical disabilities."
Meaning, this is for babies that, y'know, can't physically crawl because of, y'know, disabilities.

@Sixchomp They're actually IC Occupational Therapy students mostly, not many comp sci students are working on this!

This is an excellent idea. It's nice that someone thought of a way of helping disabled infants. It's very nice that this is such a natural way to boot - leaning/reaching to move the vehicle. To be an infant and disabled would be difficult as infants like to move around and explore. Bravo. I hope that this makes it into the home quick. Excellent work. Keep it up. :)

-_- you're a fucking idiot.

@illustriouschin Good to see your parenting skills are motivated from your fears from movies, and not knowing how to shut a door or put up a baby gate.

It's good to see more female computer science students. We men would never come up with such inventions... and if we did, it would be designed for full grown able bodied men to do stupid things with. Now all you need is a marketing team, and a law firm to work with Nintendo, to make the next big Christmas item.

@illustriouschin Because it's so fast she can dash before you can see her right? Such intolerance

She's disabled and can't move on her own, there's a difference

@bobotea1234 "mobile robot system developed to provide mobility to infants with physical disabilities." - are you mentally disabled
How do they cope once they are off the vehicle?
Are they able to re-adjust?
I am serious and not asking this as a joke.

@adityat90 Although we are still in the early stages of our research, parents have not reported any re-adjustment issues. We will likely investigate this in a future larger study. Anecdotally, Mia's Mother did report that sometimes Mia would lean in her stroller as if trying to make it move in the direction she wanted.
