believe it or not, this video was the first (and only one so far) that actually had anything to do with HOW to clean a chimney. There is a video over on ehow and 5min.com (worthless sites) of some douche sitting in a blueroom with a potted plant proportedly talking about chimney cleaning but all he does is tell you not to burn cloth! WTF? who burns cloth? Thanks for the nice video attempt, best one so far.

Thank you. We love our woodstove. It was a cool (pleasant!) summer and now it's been a colder than usual FAll, although the Lakes insulate us and I think it's been more temperate here in the mitten than in other parts of the country. Winter definitely came early this year to most of the US. And good to see another Ron Paul fan. : )

We heat mainly with wood too. We have propane for back-up. During those transitional times (early Spring, early Fall) when it's hard to have the wood stove going without getting too hot. I wouldn't trade my wood stove heat though, for any other type though!

Poor man. He does well in humoring me though. : ) And you all thought he didn't exist, eh?

You know. . . I'm not sure our insurance company knows we have a wood stove. Hubby put it in ten years ago. . . hmmm. I know he did it according to code though. He's kind of a stickler about that stuff. "And when the Goat Keeper finished he stood back and said "It is good" BAHAHAHAHAHAHA -- love it!!!!
we have a wood burning stove and i was wondering where you can pick up some creosote removal powder?

Hi, Check your local farm or hardware stores. In our area, TSC (Tractor Supply Company) carries it, for example. Thanks for watching!

Had the first snow here in Poland - 20cm in the Tatra Mountains (south) so will be lighting our wood burning stove for the first time methinks. We have a system where pipes run through the house heating each room, with the heat circulated by a pump in the roof. Works pretty well but we get thru a lot of wood; however, considerably cheaper than using electric radiators.

That's interesting! So the pump in the roof is run on electricity I'm assuming?
