is it worth buying this stick as a first stick and then modding it if I feel the need later?
-
did you have to solder/file down anything to make the sanwa parts fit? im getting this stick with modding in mind.

@MrHeroCA somewhat i mean this will decide wether you will get like lests say a Madcatz TE stick or modd this but you will at least get a SE stick if you dont want to modd or go with TE. when you first get your DatelAP wont be able to do all the move or like trying to main C.viper as an example (she takes a lot of execution ) Because it is that bad its the stick it makes everything harder but go with is coz if you do get sanwa parts it will give you an advantage and it will be easy hope i helpt

I ordered 2 , 1 for my bro and 1 for me this afternoon - We are both new to the Streetfighter series , so what I want to know is~ How is it crap? I mean for people who are new to fight games this is not a bad thing is it? I mean , atleast better as an Xbox controller , right?

@ALJ029 Hiya ALJ - Its possible to do this solderless. If you want to add me as a friend or something I can give you more details, but basically there are two PCBs in this stick. One is the "brains" of the board (usb connector, stick) - the other has the buttons pressing directly against it. What you need to do is wriggle the button PCB off and straight up, then you have some L shape pins remaining that you can thread wires through and twist tightly. You just need insulation tape and patience :)
