@emmyb62006 I've been out for years and I still cry over some of my runs and lost patients.

I am an EMT-B. This video showed the things that I feel everyday. Its nice because it reminds me that I am not the only one that feels this way so thank you for posting it. I hope that you do good, whatever you decide to do.

P.S. after reading some of the following comments from brothers and sisters in EMS telling you that you have to be (tough) and what we see (wont bother you) THEY ARE NOT THE NORM! We are! Dont believe them when they say that crap they feel it too or they would be monsters without a soul. They only deny it out of embarressment or fear because we are supposed to be the strong ones. Its ok to feel that way but going back everyday is what makes you strong!

Courage Strength and Bravery isnt about being so tough that you dont feel the pain, the wear and tear on your body, nerves and home life. It isnt about not crying after you lose a patient. Its about feeling all those things reliving them in your mind everyday. Its about crying when your alone for the child you tried to save and saying "nothing" when asked "whats wrong" because no one else would understand. Its about knowing all you know and doing it anyway!

I have been an EMT going on 5 years now and this video gave me a chill when I watched it. Its like you somehow was able to video our thoughts. Im sure some of those on your squad pick on ya about the video but they feel the same way I do when they watch it even though we dont like to admit it. You did a great job on this vid!

Awesome video....were you able to get The Frey to use their music for this video...if so, let me know the process, cause i wanted to put one together for the FD i volunteer for, using a different artist of course.

You are absolutely amazing! this video is so eerily touching. and i couldnt agree any more. no one understands what we go through what we see what we deal with on a personal level. i share a similar story in my ems career as you do. god bless you and keep your head up. thank you for this video.

Dude... all I can say is is that this video has helped me to keep on keeping on, knowing that most all EMT's have major stresses and hurts, both on and off the ambulance... It is just something that has helped me keep pursuing this. Thanks for the video... And I hope that someday you can get back into the saddle. Either way, you are an awesome hero!
I love this video you put together. Please don't take it down.
