  • @darthsage411 I also heard the bis in a concert of Shani Diluka (I love this performer) playing the quick and beautiful : Valse-minute of Chopin.

  • @Lijie888 In the similar kind Liszt by Khatia Buniatishvili. Fantastic.

  • @darthsage411 Also: I dont like so much the (quite perfect) performance of Chopin's études by Boris Berezovski: I have the impression he plays too quickly. In fact the "russian school" (Berezovsky is really excellent and Kissin is very much in the same mood of performing) is a little bit too quick for me. I would very much prefer a little slower tempo.

  • @darthsage411 Do you mean Chopin? Well there is a lot ! The Pollini performance of the Etudes of Chopin is fantastic: it is very plain. This summer I heard the études, polonaises and waltzes by Evgeni Bozhanov Much freer playing but still very moving. And there is quite beautiful performance (also among the recent) by Louis Lortie.

  • @Lijie888 could you recommend some? This is the first I've seen of what ever category you might put this song/performance and I would love to hear more

  • Still the only person in my mind who can pull off that ending

  • Incredible performance. I didnt know this guy. Quite a virtuoso. This piece is a "morceau de bravoure" so not so good for judging qualities such as the feeling of a piece. But as far as precision is concerned he is superb. Reminds me of some beautiful Etudes of Chopin by Pollini.

  • @Gargantupimp But then he played a lot more wrong notes than Kissin. So did Horowitz, BTW, and Rubinstein as well.

  • I bet that 10/10 of people complanin about his mistakes can't even play the first 20 seconds of this master piece

  • @Kate86msk takes more than practice, it takes great soul
