Initial testing of the Blackhawk AR-10 Tilt Rotor (Pat. Pend).
Shown here is 3.75 Amps into a 24.9V battery level, in an average wind speed of 12.5 MPH. A 24V inverter is draining the battery with a 120W load (3 x 40W).
Custom designed generator produces 24V at a cut-in wind speed of 7-8 MPH (40 RPM). 12V, 24V and 48V versions are available.
This system has been in development since 2006 and is expected to go to 10 Beta test sites in January of 2009, followed by production in the Spring.
The Tilt Rotor is based on helicopter rotor head design combined with VAWT technology.

We're currently looking into going into production with a TR-10, TR-20 and TR-80 version for two completely different markets (1.2 & 5.5kW house/farm & 100 kW commercial scale). The MSRP of these products will not be determined until the designs have been finalized for production, which is dependent on the manufacturing process. Please stay tuned for updates.
