Toon Boom Light Sabre ( The Kitchen Clones Strike Back ! )

Well, this is just little rotoscoping practice in Toon Boom Studio ...Actually it´s my first try of making animated light sabre ( it´s a little crappy, but it´s made just for fun :-) ).

hey, thats awesome, i was wondering how you imported the video into toonboom.

Thanks man... The importing video is easy, but you must have at least Toom Boom 4.5 (!!!) or some higher version. I used to have Toon Boom 4 and I went almost crazy, because the program couldn´t find any video files. So just get 4.5 version and load a video through File / Import, minding the correct file format ( if you load some video and you see a couple of blank cells only, try to convert it into another format - AVI, QuickTime... ) Good Luck

oh and, how did you get that lightsabery effect, that really cool.

oh, I´m not very skillful in ToomBoom yet, so I just drew few lines of different tint and thickness, merged them together as a single object and then I moved and stretched it over the video (actually over the "bamboo stick sabre" :-D ... ) in each frame. But there are certainly better ways how to do it, try to check out other lightsabre videos - they look much better

Hi i have toon boom 4.5 and i am having trouble doing the rotoscoping? for some reason it is not shoing up on my quick time player what should i do?
