Tenspeed And Brownshoe Opening

Getitgetitgotit. Tenspeed And Brownshoe was a Stephen J. Cannell production. He wrote and appeared in every episode. The directors were all top-shelf TV guys like E.W. Swackhammer, Reza Badiyi, Georg Stanford Brown, and Arnold Laven. The stars were the well-known star of stage, screen, and television, Ben Vereen and the lesser-known Jeff Goldblum, star of Thank God It's Friday. Guest-stars were character actors you instantly recognized. The actors had good chemistry and the whole show had a Rockford-like feel to it. But even with all that going for it, the show tanked after only 13 episodes. The only explanation is that CBS was invincible on Sunday nights in 1980. American Idol would have been cancelled up against Archie Bunker's Place and The Jeffersons!

Oh yeah, I loved this show when it was on. Sadly, I don't think it was repeated much in Australia. I'd love to see it again. Pity no eps have popped up on Youtube.

All I can say is "WOW"!

I used to watch this show all the time as a kid...and always remember seeing both of these guys in later shows and would think "thats the guy from Tenspeed and Brownshoe"!
