You're not supposed to leak ANY type of ideology into the education programs, and it's not just conservatives. Liberals do it too. So do Centrists. As long as the teacher can put in their own twist on things, there will ALWAYS be political interjection.

why can't more Americans just realise what bullshit fox news is pumping out. at least if they had a good education they would know the full story which fox isn't giving you. take your information from different news sources and make up your mind.

All they have to do is manufacture "debate" about something and then they can get away with peddling whatever lies they want. they just say "the liberals are biased too" and then that closes people who are republican minded to even listening and thinking whether the liberals have a point about something. yea sometimes liberals seem to accept a liberal view on something without thinking whether conservatives have a point. but they are nowhere near as bad as the systemanic deceit the right employs

I'm European and I can see that the versions of history the republicans try to present are ridiculously distorted. It's not a liberal european education either. I read things myself and even in europe if you knew everything you were taught in history at school you wouldn't know all that much. I read into the other side if they make some claim. The republican bullshit does not stand up. This is exactly how the republicans are able to distort the views of Americans.

So, my 10th Grade History book, American Odyssey, NEVER covering the point of the British imposing harsh gun control on the colonists, and that breaking those laws was one of the definitive factors in the war is just my paranoia? Let alone the fact that my Civics book, which I forget the name of, never talks about the positives of Capitalism, but talks about the "admirable goals" of Communism.

@ImMichaelTaylor Actually, Liberals do it in an even more crude, premeditated and institutionalized way. I'd know, I'm a kid who paid attention in class, and I'm a VERY politically aware person. ALL classes have MAJOR political bias to the left, no matter who the teacher is. History classes are the worst for this. Hell, I even noticed it when reading the word problems in my math books. Why does it go ignored? Classes are Liberally biased in the first place.

To some extent, given that all human beings are biased, but not in the crude, premeditated and institutionalized way the conservatives in america (especially but not exclusively) are at the moment.

The thing conservatives only and always conserve is their own privilege and power base.

True but you have to remember he lived before Darwin at which point it was reasonable to be a deist. All we know about him indicates that he would be an atheist had he had the benefit of Darwin's work. After all, Atheism is just the position which you occupy when you are utterly unconvinced by the evidence produced in favor of a god or gods.
