Central to the separation of this form of skating on a board from all others is the use of the feet in relation to rhythm while rolling. This is a stepping form enabled by the use of the crutches which keep both feet on the board at all times. It is a funky style of skating that is about music first and the flair and panache to the music a skater / dancer might bring. I love this type of skating because it takes a lot of the pressure off the hips in comparison to regular skateboarding and it requires a very limited rotation range of the hip. Still if performed for an extended time the hips do fare up severely.
