Oliver Stone brings a top notch cast to the big screen with a action thriller about drug running - does it live up to expectations?

With a cast as strong as Benicio Del Toro, John Travolta, Blake Lively, and Salma Hayek, and a director as renowned as Oliver Stone, Savages certainly has the pedigree to make for a summer movie of substance. Do Dan, Alex, and Jeff think it is the antidote for a season of super heroes? Or do the plot twists and numerous characters make for disappointment?

alright, for all those Dan haters out there...cut it out man!!! if you really are a TRS fan you will understand Dan's predicament. Give the guy a break. He's finally making substantial progress in the film industry and he needs to be cautious with how he provides his opinions to stay objective. Besides, most times you can tell with the tone and pace he has while describing the back-story.

by the way, i just reread my response and i read as angry and pissed off. sorry, i didnt mean to, and I see your point. It's just hard to make it in the film industry and I also feel for Dan. Yes, the reviews kinda suffer...and maybe Mike should come in for these segmenst (especially now that fans know why), but we as fans should at least be a bit more composed with our hate comments...(TRS brofist inserted here) >>> no, this is not troll bait either

i dont think it nullifies anything. a journalist can smile or frown and remain objective...and anyone, i dont care who you are, is trying to impress somebody for their DREAM job!!! i dont know about you, but i'd be careful with my opinions being spread for a little while to ensure that i got a big job later...when he gets big...then he can have an open opinion

You just completely nullified your comment with your last sentence.If he is giving slight clues as to if he enjoyed the movie or not then he might as well just jump in on the review.Just have to say,lot of people just dont agree with dan's reasoning behind his silence on movie reviews.Thats not going to change unless dan makes his case better,I personally see no conflict People have opinions,if someone doesn't want to work with dan because he has an opinion,why would dan want to work with them?
