I agree, this is the birth of disco though many give credit to Rock The Boat by The Hues Corp or The Stylistics' Love Is The Answer both which came out two years later.
I thoght this was released much earlier than '72, or is that just my mistake. Love the sound, good memories (once again), of Leeds Central allnighters.

used to play in all the junior discos in early eighties in teesside usually after dexys and before the specials and jam etc
