Nice little miniature dachshund in Shinjuku today. It's sad to see such a nice little puppy in a cage. That's life, that's how the japanese treat dogs (horribly, that is). Goodbye little puppy. I'll name you PIPI.
i've rescued dachshunds and to see them still in puppy mills breaks my heart especilly after seeing all the ones that need to be rescued. DON'T SHOP ADOPT!! HELP STOP PUPPY MILLS!!!!
I don't mean to troll, but those comments about the Japanese are misguided. I lived in Tokyo for four months, with a nice family and a wonderful dachsund. He was treated very, very well, and so was every other dog I saw in Japan, including the ones in cages. This dog appears better off than most American dogs I've seen, and he's not sitting at the window and reminiscing glassy-eyed about the life he could be having on the other side, so I think he's fine.
@mooie76 I am also an animal lover. However I have enough perspective to care more about people than animals(as cute as they are). I live in an apt. that is proportionally smaller than this cage. The fish eye lens and cold lighting makes the cage look worse than it actually is. Either way how is this any worse than a pet wating to be adopted at a shelter? Your stunted liberal ACLU type mind is so easily manipulated. especially with a fish eye, tunnell vision lens.
Wow, that is awful; I'm not surprised knowing that the Japanese eat whale meat.... I wish I had been there, I probably would have taken him home. *Animal Lover*
why is that dog kept in a cage all it's life? you said that this is a petstore wouldn't he be sold for some reduciouls amout?

I think american cages are bigger.
You should also learn how to write properly and not insult people who made comments.
