  • I'm new to growing wheatgrass. I tossed my first flat of wheatgrass seeds because of the mold. Also I didn't let the wheatberries sprout before I sprinkled them on the potting soil. I researched & discovered that 1 tsp of food grade H2O2 in a quart of filtered water & then sprayed on the sprouts will kill the mold & add oxygen to the wheatgrass. I started spraying store bought trays of wheatgrass too. They like it very much. Stopped the mold fuzz after 3 treatments.

  • @metaspherz Yeah, I have heard about the H2O2 and will purchase some the very next tray I grow. I am growing a tray now and I have NO MOLD issues because of the fan. check back with me to see how future trays are thriving. I will get over to your channel as well. I would love to see your production. Thanks for commenting

  • try putting a fan

  • @redloverose ok, I am about to begin another tray and I will buy a fan to circulate the air in the room. Is it necessary to put it directly on the grass or just in the room where the grass is growing?

  • recently watched a video that showed spraying this: 1 quart water mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp.

that works. I like a light spray of above but one cup to two tlb. spoons of water no soap. It will do fine.

  • ok, I have two trays currently growing so I will give this a try. Thanks for the tip

  • hmmm i will like use less water hopefully this will like [revent mould also where the plant is matters about the mold too

  • @StarFlower99654 salt! yikes!! salt is the enemy of greenery. Try food grade hydrogen peroxide in a very dilute mist. maybe they meant baking soda not salt.

  • @7in1 I would like to get one of these devises. Do you know where I can purchase this? Is it a specialty item or can it be found at my local hardware store? Thanks for the info.

  • An UV-bulb-air-cleaning device fixed inside room where your growing takes place should kill all spores of mold in the air.

  • @313HealthyMe The fan will help a lot. Mold doesn't like moving air. You will proably have to keep more water or an eye out for the grass through since it will dry our faster.
