Me playing the hardest difficulty setting on NBA Maximum Hangtime. The game kept going up and down and each team kept on making huge comebacks. The first quarter finish with a half court buzzer beater by an 'on fire' player from the computer team (Philadelphia), and they lead 28-16. I came back immediately in the second quarter and got it to 36 all in the first 1:45. Both teams finished the half a draw on 48 points at half time. This is the second half of the game only, due to the 10 minute video limit.

You will see a large lead by one team or the other completely destroyed in each period. I had a triple OT game but that messed up and would have been too long to fit on YouTube anyway. As you can see, I'm not a highly experienced player. I also like playing fatigued players until the end.

I used the new beta CamStudio 2.5 to make the video, without the 'record audio from speakers' setting. I paid the price with out of sync sound. I tried fixing it up through cutting, interleaving, and stretching, and think it works well enough although not perfect. I'll stick with CamStudio 2.0 and my trick to get the 'record audio from speakers' thing to work.

  • took him long enough at 4:30 to score, cant believe how complacent he got, i wouldn't let the other team get that far away from me in score.

  • You can't, in fact, avoid it. This is set in the 'bios' to hardest difficulty setting. When playing it, it became clear to me it was adaptive. They obviously do it to increase revenue. No matter how good you are, I'm sure the game would adapt to you and keep it seesawing nd hence exciting.

  • I should have attempted a 3 pointer instead of a layup and steal.

  • The rubber band effect in this game is huge. The computer always goes for 3 pointers when its losing and usually gets them.

You can't do much against it either, because they just pass it down the court where you can't see them.

  • I know the game was adaptive, even NBA Jam TE was that way.

  • I got a player with 737 wins on NBA HANGTIME I win every game on the hardest setting by 50 or 60 points, and no matter how good the computer is I'm never even close to losing the game, no matter that he doesnt miss with shawn bradly from 3 pt line with 2 people jumping on him

  • nba jam (2010) is wayyy too polished.. lost the original charm of nba jam/hangtime. :(

it needs more aeroplane noises, tarzan yells, organ riffs and a much more enthusiastic announcer. not to mention they took away height attribute and create-a-player

  • thanks.

  • theres gonna be a sequel to nba jam an its downloadable this time for psn an xbla available october it called nba jam on fire edition

  • its funny how everyone always goes down instead of up on the inbounds lol on like every video 99.% of the time they go down lol granted i did a lot too its just weird lol

  • Danm I grew up playing this shit in DR... The wolves and ray Allen that was my duo!!!

  • No surprise here. Midway was notorious for making games with CPUs that let themselves win regardless of the human player's skill level. About the only worse offender than NBA Jam/Hangtime is Mortal Kombat.

  • I wish this would be remade with 3V3

  • i wish this was on psx
