This isn't me. It's Ian Jordan Subsara singing "Time" by Billy Porter in the 3rd annual Elon University Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS concert.

  • honestly, i really like this interpretation. it's different, and fresh and new. the sound production is very very healthy. i would rather hear this guy sing like he is (supported, good placement), than to hear him try to sound like some preconceived notion of what this song "has" to be, and scream and ruin his voice.

BRAVO for being DIFFERENT, sir. i like it.

  • His voice is beautiful but this is not for him!

  • an aids benefit you mean?? lol

  • You could try emailing billy himself.

  • no..... :-(

  • in my opinion, this is one fot he most beautiful soul songs ever written. and thats what it is. a SOUL song. now he has a great voice and all, absolutely terrific, and i love for the cause, but you cant have that voice sing that song. it was meant to be fromt he soul, sung with everything in you from eveyrhting in you. not opera. he did ok, but its meant to b a soul song. his singing however, incredable. he is a true tenor, with incredible range, he just needs to sing songs that fit him better.

  • Very well done. You he did wonderfully, but instead of trying to sound pure and clean, this song is a bit more... easily taken in, if you will, if it had more of a dark, harder sound to it. It's not really about angelic notations, but about telling the story as if it was your only one. Aside from all that, very good job! :)

  • This was great! His voice is so... perfect. I can't even describe it, so steady, strong and sweet all at once. I loved it! =)

  • WOW

  • I'm searching for the sheet music of this song too. I've enquired in Australia, but so far, no luck. Every shop I've asked says it hasn't been published. If that's true, the pianist in this clip is obviously playing from a hand-written manuscript arrangement. Does anyone know if there's a Billy Porter SONGBOOK available that might contain this song?
