Thank god some people still use Amigas. COMMODORE SYSTEMS FOREVER!

It's almost 15 years since the Amiga offically died. It just hurts so bad to see what the computer could do. Sony use to make the chips for the video toaster. When they found out what it would do they stop making them . As the video toaster cost around $6000 and replaced almost $60,000 worth of video equipment. I love is video and the cool effects of the toaster. The lava lamp effect at the end was so cool.

And you didn't use Final Cut.

Chroma Key killed the UHF ban.... Man I wish this was an ad for the Amiga and the toaster in the day. Might of helped it out.. What a shame.. Awesome Video!!

Did? It Does!

Awesome man!

A4000T shipped with a 68040, however its on a card and pretty trivial to upgrade.

The toaster didn't exist for PAL sadly. It was NTSC only.
-
Yes, its really cool! Did Toaster exist also for PAL?
My only "realtime" video equipment is at this moment some lousy selfbuilt CGs from scrounged parts (10 EUR value) and an old SONY framestore-lumakeer (XVT500) bought for 10 EUR.
If toaster could do such effects in realtime, it must been really advanced technology
So advanced, that i'm still struggling how to make my own chromakeyer (for non-synced signals, so needs digital frame memory, all synced and working together, no easy task)

amazing that all this will work on a Amiga 2000 with a friggen 8 MHz 68000.

did your A4000T have a 68060 or a 68040?

It has a 68060, on a Phase 5 Cyberstorm accelerator. All of these effects will run with no problems on just about any other system though, and if I remember correctly, all the effects in this video can be performed with a Toaster 2000 card as well.
