Hi Chris,

I have to disagree. It's not mocking "God," it's mocking a mythical god character from an ancient, fictional story book. In fact, the whole Bible (and the Qur'an also) is an insult to "God," whom most religious people like to describe as all-loving and most merciful. Despite the psychoses of the Abrahamic God and his inane stories, most (cherry-picking) believers are able to lead tolerant and peaceful lives, and as a humanist atheist I'm glad about that.

One of the verses I've long disagreed on in the Bible since I was a former Christian. Beings you call "animals" like dogs can have immeasurable morality without a belief in a god whatsoever. It's kind of ironic that the Bible tells us we're greater than dogs, yet wouldn't dogs' god-independent moral compasses make them better than us?

Knowing how to question everything is being open-minded and rational, and that's what will always separate from you believers. Lemme ask you believers, if questioning your god is a bad thing, wouldn't that make your god not a god at all? The existence of a supposedly all-powerful god being denied by just a mere human mind?
