Roy Rogers and The Sons of the Pioneers perform a great number from the 1946 film, RAINBOW OVER TEXAS, called "TEXAS U.S.A.". This song is actually written by Pioneer Tim Spencer.

The Pioneers are Bob Nolan, Ken Carson, Tim Spencer, Shug Fisher, Hugh & Karl Farr.

  • Such a wonderful old music!

Which musician here is Shug Fisher? The standing man with the guitar? I love Shug Fisher's singing in Tom and Jerry cartoon Pecos Pest...

  • @LychkovIA Thanks for the comment. Shug is the bass fiddle player. He's on the far left. Actually, if you pause the viedeo at 00:35 seconds it is (left to right) Shug, Ken Carson, Karl Farr (sitting with guitar), Hugh Farr (with violin), Tim Spencer (standing in plaid shirt), Bob Nolan (sitting at table), and Roy Rogers (standing with guitar). Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. It helped me a lot.

What an interesting band. Someday I will look for some other songs by them.
