This is the editor's cut of the first-ever footage showing Chevrolet's new range-topping Camaro as it brutally assaults the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany. Unlike other videos out there, this video shows plenty of extra track time, rather than more pedestrian street driving.
The deep growl of this muscle car is undeniable, and it will be interesting to see how this stacks up against Ford's range-topping Shelby Mustang.
I didn't see any tearing up... Of the Nürburgring.

in my opinion, the new GT500 will win on the drag strip, but the ZL1 will win everywhere else.

@Goirdy Why so heavy chevy? I was thinking about 3,500 pounds if it wanted to keep up with the GT500 but 0-60 in 4.0 seconds is pretty beast. Can't wait to see this car side by side with the GT500 though. Do you know if Dodge will make some sort of Charger or Challenger super car?

@RobNttBob if I remember correctly, it gets 580 HP and 556 Torque. but it'll weigh 4,120 pounds. but it'll go 0 - 60 in 4.0 seconds and finished a lap of the nurburgring in 7:41.

@corvettels9 Good ear. the 2012 ZL1 has a Supercharged 6.2L LSA V8 taken from the Cadillac CTS-V.

@Boss1186 it's to distort the look of the car to hide fascia changes and minor cosmetic changes. it's not very effective, but it helps.

looks like it needs a stiffer suspension....
