  • When you ignite the char cloth, don't keep blowing on it. Just pick it out with a suitable tool into your tinder bundle and then blow. The char cloth will burn longer and you will have more success with igniting your tinder. Good job on the construction, by the way. It looks like you have the hard part down cold. Perhaps a video on how to make your own could be produced? Thank you!

    To the other idiots asking about charcloth, you can use any small piece of combustible natural material, i.e. tree fungus, bark, rotted wood, etc.
