Jack Jones opens his evening show live in Las Vegas on July 11, 2009 with of his signature songs -- the title tune from his acclaimed 1988 album. Don't miss a chance to see a master at work!
He's reaping in his maturity, shall we say, the advantage of not having abused himself and his voice during his prime. He sounds 25 years younger than his actual age.
I was there that night. He was terrific. It was the first time I had ever seen him in person and I never heard this song before. I learned the words in a couple of days.
My only regret is that he didn't sing "Love With A Proper Stranger", one of my favorite songs. Check out his rendition of this song on the Johnny Carson show.
Nobody sings like this legendary giant in concert...luckily have seen Jack Jones many times live in the past thirty years & the experience is always sublime and he is so highly overlooked & in addition to great concerts so many classic albums...Jack Jones deserves a Lifetime Grammy Award...Bravo Jack!
I grew up listening and touring with Jack when he came to the UK...this is one of my very favourites, Matt on piano, Uncle Jimmy on Drums and Kevin on bass...love it..x thanks for the memories xx
Loved this Gerard Kenny composed song. It belongs to Jones and his vocal history, he has great tone and timbre and terrific breath control, even now for a man in his early 70's. What a number to walk on and open with in your show! Highly underrated singer in many respects. New CD out soon 2010 we are told.
This is very original material, and I always liked the classics he sings. What a world class singer he is, indeed! My very best wishes to you, Mr. Jack Jones & family, and here's to many more great performances.
