This visualization has been developed at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences by Adrian Meyer and Karl Rege. It shows the earth starting at the last glacial maximum 21'000 years ago and ends 1'000 years in the future.

5000 v.Chr. müssen die ja schon eine Menge CO2 produziert haben.... anders ist der Rückgang des Eises nicht zu erklären.

It's too bad that this map doesnt take into account the influence of ice on bodies of water, inundation and rise of land masses.

Du bist auch so'n Fake. Natürlich verschieben sich die Kontinentalplatten, jedoch sehen wir hier "nur" 22.000 Jahre. Das ist ein Witz, wenn man die Zeit bedenkt, die die Erde schon existiert. Da sind Zeiträume von Millionen Jahren schon relevanter.
Die Verschiebung in dem kurzen Zeitraum ist wohl eher unrelevant, aus dem Grunde wurde dieser Faktor in der Animation wahrscheinlich einfach ausgegrenzt

Wenn der Meerwasserspiegel 120 m unter dem heutigen Niveau lag, wieso verändern sich die Aussenformen der Kontinente dann nicht? So beeindruckend man das Abklingen der Eiszeit aus ihrer Animation ablesen kann, sosehr vermisse ich die wahrnehmbare Veränderung des Meerwasserspiegels auf der Karte.

@rebaflu there is now also Google Earth overlay available: just look at the "Blue Marble 3000" homepage (just enter these keywords in Google to find it)
