  • Cool! But how do you save this so that you can recall it?

  • @longlegged

to save a pattern: hit the ' write' key while PTN/SONG is lit, than scroll to an empty location using the jogwheel.

  • I'm trying to get the measures to go up on my saved pattern. How Do I do that?

  • hit the button under diplay: PTN/SONG

Need to record more bars? press rec, press page next, dail the jogwheel on the required amount of bars and start recording. (press page next more times for more recording options)

  • Hey. How it looks with MIDI files importing? Is it possible?

  • This helped a lot man. Thanks

  • Norphies you are very good teacher and briliant musician

  • Great video!

  • This thing is a pain in the ass!

  • Christ almighty thanks for this video.

  • Can you program your own recorded drums sounds into the 505 and make a beat? Like if I record the sounds from my drumkit as a wav file, can I import them into the 505 and make beats that way?

  • thanks for the tutorial, i've just started using this machine and am building a custom drum kit.

is there a way that i can initialize the rhythm section so i can build the kit completely dry?

i would like to delete all the preset patterns and songs -is this possible??

  • You should make a tutorial DVD i would buy one. Im struggling with this bit of kit , It takes a lot of patience which i have none of ha ha. What i'm doing is using the basics shown in this video and recording into ableton where i can arrange my sounds and edit them with software im more used to. I mainly use The 505 for its drum kits and a few retro sounds. Hope you make some more tutorials as there is nothing on the internet for this great bit of dance music history.
