OK, so I made a Google account with a yahoo username a few years ago. My YouTube account is on it too. But now I made a Google+ profile and got a new Gmail address, so now I basically have two Google accounts I have to switch back and forth to make both Google+ and YouTube work. My question is: could I terminate my old (Yahoo mail) account and still keep this username? What would happen to my YouTube account if I were to delete that old Google account? Thanks in advance.

ya seriusly FUCK GOOGLE. This acount liknking shit if fuckin dumb as fuck. Made some dumbass password for my google account youtube forced me 2 make. And now I need 2 use that password. I fuckin forgot it and it took me an hour to recover my account. Fuckin youtube is looseing users as we speak. They shouldnt make people create 2 accounts.

I unlinked but when I try to log in I get...You will no longer be able to sign in to YouTube without a Google Account.

LIKE WTF GOOGLE!!! I use my Gmail account for EMAIL... I have a separate Youtube account... this is bullshit and annoying... If I'm logged into my gmail, I have to log out of it in Youtube to use my actual Youtube... but this logs out my Gmail, and I use My separate Gmail and separate Youtube accounts ALL THE TIME... this is so annoying because it forces me to log out of Gmail to use my ACTUAL Youtube account... and all this was set up WITHOUT MY CONSENT, it just happened one day.. SO ANGRY!!
