One of the nice things about being in a multi-platinum-selling rock band: everyone has a home Pro Tools rig. Meaning there's never an excuse not to record, or at least demo, new material. Joel Kosche — lead guitarist for Collective Soul — details what songwriting is like in this scenario. Wouldn't you know it, it seems unusually effortless (of course it helps when a prodigious songwriter like Ed Rowlands is at the creative helm).
Gino spoke with Joel at the recent NAMM show in Anaheim. In addition to discussing Collective Soul's collective creative process, Joel discussed his affinity for Vox amps, and about what inspired him to build his own custom AC30-tribute.
AWESOME! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
