  • Swargiya Nagayya garu was the first super star of South India. He had no children. Was a very compassionate and humble man. He died as a very poor man. All these gongs are sung by himself. That is really amazing.

While none of us had seen/heard Saint Tyagaraya live, Nagayya garu brought Tyagaraya from heaven to earth by his acting and singing.

    Thanks for the post

  • Tyagaraga is the greatest composer south India or India has ever seen. There were only 2 things that mattered for tyagaraja i.e. his Rama and music. He is a unique composer in several aspects. He is the only composer who has composed on music. The whole of sangeetha shastra embodied in his kritis. It is our fortune that tyagaraja has given expression to his mystical experiences which many have not done it

  • the greatness of Narada maharshi wasbrought in word by the director/writer of this movie in these lines

when Tyagayya asks .. meeru sangeetampaadatara....

narada replies ... maa amma veena vaayisthundi..... how appropriately the dialogue was framed ...glorious, pious... the appearance of narada was indicated without boasting himself and identifying but identified with the glory of his mother ...what a great thinking in presenting the character GOD BLESS the souls

  • @sank123456 Tyagayya sang Rama's glory, Nagayya is singing Tyagayya's glory. I feel so energetic by watching this clip.

  • @intvak21: God bless you not only for uploading this but also for having moral responsibility to mention about copyrights. Thanks!

  • in koti u find it

  • no every songs sung by nagayya(leading actor name)

  • @sank123456 I thought some of the songs in this movie were sung by Gantasaala? Is that not true?

  • @spicyjulep I am afraid i disagree with you. The first and the foremost song taught to every Carnatic vocal student is Lambodara Lakumikara. Purandara Dasa still remains the father of Canatic music. That being said, it's extremely inappropriate to compare the musical geniuses of these saints.

  • what a wonderful movie and songs...a great actor..

  • observe the great man's aarti. the lord comes down immediately as the guru to lead one to himself. that is his karuna. thanks a lot friend for uploading this video for us.

  • @gopalakr1 i agree with u, but i feel bad very bad...i remember ppl saying that there is nothing so great abt purandara dasa....i get really pissed when that happens...we are not in authority to speak anything abt such mahanubhavas, be it tyagayya or dasar right?
