  • dressing up like girls is actually one of the unique theatrical features only japanese people exhibit. I believe it derived from their ancient cultural practice such as "Kabuki", the stylized theatrial performances, which was later adopted and brought into rock market by X-Japan. This was a great success and since then, such trend has evolved differently among rock bands. One thing is clear though; these bands think it as an important theatrical effect for their stage and fan.

  • I love Kaya-chan *------------* Ophelia is the best single ever. I love him a lot <3

  • @Himyvideoisthis Well, Japan is accepting of this becuz of X japan, of course when they first started they got laughed at, but they become so successful, other bands began following the trend, Visual Kei just became normal to the people.

  • @HystericLuna X JApan adapted the cross dressing look from glam rock

  • @tensaibishonen it always sound like your bitching

  • THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL I LOVE KAYA SO MUCH I THINK THAT HIS NEW ALBUM QUEEN WILL BE FANTASTIC....KAYA 4 EVERRRR

  • me likey guy in dress XD

  • Aww c'mon guys who THE FUCK CARES if it's a guy in a dress ?

  • OMG, it's a Baby, The Stars Shine Bright dress!! Where did ya find the pic??

  • @HystericLuna Well, in traditional British/English plays many many years ago now, before women were allowed to have jobs, the only people allowed to perform on stage were men, so if there was a female character, a man had to get dressed up in female clothes (e.g. corset, dress) and make-up to play that character. :) Just for information, not complaining. ^^

And I personally love the way Kaya-sama and others, e.g. Mana-sama, dress in the Japanese rock scene. I wish other countires had it too. :3

  • @Himyvideoisthis I'm sorry but this is also bullshit. "Drag queens" are not accepted in Japanese culture. No aspect of "gay" is accepted in Japanese culture. Japanese people are not thinking of "drag queen" or "gay" when they see this sort of thing in performance true, but neither does the average person accept this type of performance even as that.
