Mimi and Lili Show with David Cook on flight Indy to LAX

Recorded on June 08, 2008 - David Cook was the only other person in first class with us on our flight from Indy to LAX. We did not bother him as he slept the first 2 hours. Then dad talked briefly with him and he was very humble and nice. He allowed us to shoot this quick video as we were getting ready to deplane at LAX. He was going to sing the National Anthem at the Lakers - Celtics game Tuesday and then go on Jay Leno on the Tonight Show Thursday night.

We were the only other people sitting in first class on our way from Indy to LA. We initially said hi to him but he was sitting in the last row of first class and we were in the 2nd row. So we waited until 2 hours into the flight and our dad talked to David for about 10 minutes and David was very cool and nice. Then after the plane landed at LAX we got him to say hi to our Flip Cam for our Mimi and Lili show. Then he talked to us more as we walked out together and he got in his limo.

David was very humble and gracious. The kind of guy that you root for. It was very ironic that I just happened to be on the flight with my daughter and her best friend flying to LA as she now has an agent for acting and model print. David signed an encouraging autograph to her on her boarding pass and let us get a cool picture of him with the girls. He was the only other person in first class besides us. I only talked to him for 5 min on the flight. He said goodbye to my daughter at LAX.

Yup. Very nice humble guy. He did a crossword puzzle around takeoff and then slept for a couple hours. Then I chatted with him for about 5 minutes and he signed a couple of autographs for my daughter and her friend and then let us video him and get a picture. He said he was as surprised as I was that Archuleta did not win. Said he felt blessed to win.
