Sorry about that. I should explain I am an atheist and I don't support anyone unless they have something sensible to say (ha ha, yes, let's count the days). I am also a linguist and yes I am also a sucker for a fantastic song and a bit of nostalgia. This is simply wonderful.

@onlinelondon Beautiful song and beautiful lyrics, thanks for the translation and for giving us all a message to think about and a lesson to learn.

@rietmans does rietmans spend his free time going on videos related to Israel just to post a negative comment?
Perhaps you should try getting a few friends.

@u4ism100 world is full of shit & this's one of them ;)
you should call me Mam if you want. Anyway, music is music

@Amalk1991 I'm glad you like the performance. With all due respect Sir, I am referring to Israel. Palestine is a name that was concocted by the British for a short period in history and has no lasting or legitimate value.

@SingIngToColdplay I guess we're at the wrong world !! .. go search history if you need to be educated :)

@u4ism100 I guess you mean Palestine sir :) ..

Wow, remember watching this on tv when were were stationed in Germany. Talk about a blast from the past. I was only 5.
Israeli Eurovision singers condemned as 'traitors'... A Jew and an Arab lined up to be Israel's Eurovision Song Contest entry may have to pull out of the competition after suffering a torrent of abuse and condemnation. Israeli-Arab singer Mira Awad and Israeli-Jewish singer Achinoam Nini, who has performed with Sting, are under pressure from critics ranging from Right-wing Jews, to Palestinians and even Israeli peace campaigners. .. Maybe that's one reason why Israel will never again win the ESC

@janetjeroen What? All time favourite?? More than Toto Cotugno, Secret Garden, Eimear Quinn, Celine Dion, Abba, France Gall, Vicky Leandros, Johnny Logan, Lordi or Alexander Rybak (only to mention winners)? Not to talk about non-winners, like Domenico Modugno, t.a.t.u., Cliff Richard, and yes, Dchinghis Khan in 1979!
