Phuket's 1st Pet Fair & fashion show held at Royal Phuket Marina
Grant's video, with this man's best friend GB, captured the cute curly critters on film sniffing their way into the hearts of children and barking-mad dog lovers of Phuket. After a bit of agility showboating and walkie-talkie wag-tailing, plus cat chats & dogged interviews, it was literally 'raining cats and dogs' inside the exhibition hall on Sunday the last day of the 3 day fair, when many dressed-up dogs and caged cats led their owners to strut their stuff down the 'catwalk' on the red stain-proof carpet, and there were surprisingly few cat-fights among the alpha males or beta females, and even a few kitty kateoys, as it was all just a bit of fun-fur-fair. The furry four-legged ones put on their best coats and caps for the two legged ones' cameras, clicking away like there was no tomorrow.
Seriously though, the organiser, khun Narong or Peter of PhuketDog.com & BMS Events, did admit privately that there may not be another Phuket pet fair soon as it was a difficult expensive job putting it together. But he and his pet companion put on a brave face and gave Grant & GB an interview about the fun fair, aims & activities, and fund raising for the stray Dog Shelter in Thalang, like the Soi Dog charity in Mai Khao, which are both in desperate need of help right now:
