@aporia82 Crimean-Tatar language really more like a Turkish than the Volga-Tatar language))
-
@anarmehtievful sorry forgot to mention "yufka" the filo pastry used in that food. as far as i know tatars also call it the same.
-
@anarmehtievful kazan is kazan in turkish, means a large boiling casserole. that food with "un" (floor) and "et" (meat) is called "manti" in turkey, but we make it smaller. i can pretty understand the language but i have to concentrate a little bit. so they seem to be very close. but the crimean tatar is nearly same with the anatolian turkish.

@NORTHERNKONFLIKT How similar is Tatar language to Bashkort, Kumuk, Azerbaijani, Yakut, Turkish, Uzbek, and Kazakh?
-
@cincinrex fuck you. kazan should be the capital of the independent republic of TATARSTAN!!
-
Btw Volga means "Bulgarian river" so, Volga Bulgaria = Bulgarians who live by the Bulgarian river
-
"Tatars" are descendants of Volga Bulgaria state, it was they who built Kazan, adopted the islam he refers to, why doesn't he say that??
Anyways, the proto-bulgarians were an iranic aryan tribe, that mixed with fins n created volga bulgarian nation. Explains why Iran gave those mattresses to their mosque, even though iran is shia.

sound is so off
Tatarstan is a good existence of modern religions harmony. I've been there and for the most part Muslims and Christians treat eachother well, intermarry and even visit each others places of worship.
