The contrast of the screen in a real life situation is much lower, and actually is more grey than white. Don't be fooled by this super lit, post processed video.

This video was not processed, it was of course lit and focused, but you can't expect people to read in poorly lit rooms with glasses set out of focus intentionally?

Any way, it is a year old, new devices are about to hit the market from Sony and from Amazon and a whole slew of others.

I have the option to hear texts of the book, haven't? what happen with the RSS documents?

you can use audiobooks - meaning you can listen to mp3 or aac files. You can not have it read a written book to you.

Only Kindle has that feature.

As long as you save RSS document in the format supported by PRS 600- you can read them

I like 900. :)

505 has superb contrast and screen.

600 is much more convenient in use.

Thanks for posting the demo. Could you please tell me what cover you are using there? It doesn't look like the one that is supposed to come packaged with it.

@grimeldasnodpocket It does not come with the cover, it comes with neoprene pouch.

This cover is from my PRS-505, it does fit, though plastic clips there needed to be bended out a bit more than for 505.

I don't like the case here. Mine came with a soft black pouch of a case. But, maybe that's because I have a refurbished model. || However, @pierlover, the screen on this model does actually look bright white when turned on. It makes the letters stand out. I like it. || You don't hold it close enough to yourself in this video to show the reflective quality of the screen. You can see yourself like a mirror in the PRS-600 screen. || But, I still love mine.

@the3onna I have this same reader, and in any normal light reading situation it looks as bright as this one. It always looks grayish with low contrast. Btw most consumer cameras apply automatic post processing to pictures...
