I allways get lot of questions about the price of this guitar. To answer it once: This guitar costs more than a industrial made Custom Shop guitar! Thank you!
This is a handmade replica of a Les Paul 1959 burst. A friend of mine called Bernd Holzgruber, known for building world famous Spanish guitars for decades, made this tone beauty for me. This guitar is made of Honduras mahogany and has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Vintage correct: trussrod, nut, neck angle, headstock shape and angle, binding color, knob position, tailpiece position, hide glue, and a very delicate and thin nitro finished sunburst to give me the feeling of having a NOS guitar. Featuring Tom Holmes Japan PAF´s. RS Guitarworks electronics. Ernie Ball regular slinky strings. Plugged straight into a Marshall JCM800 50W. Monster Guitarcable.
There are 3 more videos featuring Bare Knuckle The Mule´s, Tim Shaw PAFs and DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAFs
I tried to play the same licks.... to demo these pickups...

  • @wooohoo2 I tried the Faber also. But took the Gibson, bacause it works better for me. What the differencees are in sound, I really don't know...

  • @709AJ I mean zz top

  • @709AJ just got paid, zu top

  • @skydog46 no, I didn t try those. I listened to all your videos and loved those Throbaks.

The comparison between true PAFs and throbaks is very impressive.

  • I've youtubed many 1959 Replica and yours with the TH's is the best sounding I've heard; better than the Max and Hugo Replicas posted. Your guitar sounds as if it's very light and extremely resonant. How much does it weight and what does the neck profile feel like, full 59 or some variation of it? Does Bernd makes these guitars for anybody or just for friends? Cheers. Joe (Australia)

  • Man those PUs sound killer.

  • why do you use a gibson bridge? i went with a faber bridge and stop bar and lost a lot of resonance..i think brass saddles muffle the sound a bit, i dunno but i had more resonance with the original gibson set up.

  • what is that song at 3:11ish

  • Have you tried Dimarzio's Air Classic set, yet?

  • Definitely like these. I would rate these number 1 with Bare knuckles and Dimarzio following.
