Euclid Ohio will be celebrating it's Bicentennial in 2009. In advance of that, I have put together a slide show based on the old Cleveland Press collection photos at Cleveland State, showcasing a community that deserves to be celebrated.

  • not one shot south of euclid ave...?? wasnt there any develpoment in chardon richmond, beverly hills, or glenbrook prior to 1960?

  • @matman1490

No swipe at Euclid's south side, but as indicated in the title, these photos were from the Cleveland Press collection. Generally, that means that they were connected with a news story or advertisement. I am glad you took notice, and hope that these videos might inspire you and others to put together videos of your own that celebrate our home town. Rest assured, if I come across South side photos, they will show up. But please feel free to contribute.

  • Wow! I was born in 1966 in Euclid. Moved to Madison in 1999 through 2000. I remember alot of the way things looked in some of those photos. I went to Euclid High. Lived off of E.200th Street in the projects there off of Chickasaw. What memories!

  • @BAPINCUS

You are most welcome. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

  • A very nicely put together video, what is the music ?

  • It came from the Digital Juice Music Library, Disc 18, titled First Success.

It's a great music library. I highly recommend it for any video producer or editor.

  • Thank you.

I very much appreciate your comment.

  • at 1:50 on the right of the picture of the class sitting down there is a little girl with her head down on the table...saw this several times and just saw that. She must have been in trouble :(

  • great pics. My grandmother had one of the first houses on 250th St. across from Alberton. My dad was also a Euclid patrolman for over 20 years.
