One of the ARM representatives had a Google Android device available for demonstration at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona and I had a chance to talk with him and see it in action. It was the device from HTC and it felt solid in your hand with great responsiveness as well.

  • looks kinda like a blackberry

  • This design is inferior to the production model, which has a Sidekick-style slideout screen, allowing for a much larger and usable keyboard. Thanks goodness Google had enough sense to realize the importance of this.

  • yeah i agree too, this is actually a nice phone design, vs. the sidekick thing thats floating around

  • No way

  • I totally agree. I don't like slider phones, but this one would be pretty cool.

  • I wish Android would come out on this phone not on that piece of shit thats going around the web

  • LOL, I kind of respect his candidness on being nervous about the Open Handset Alliance and open sourcing in general.

  • It's not running at 620MHz, it's underclocked to 415Mhz.

  • Nice. Running on a 200Mhz 'ish processor and Android still responds quickly. Sadly my iphone 3g isnt quite as fast even at 620MHz.

  • sucks
