Then again, it can be about mental illness also. If you're bipolar the medicine do give you that "medication take me, we can cut the chase" feeling.

The girl goes home to her parents, the guy ends up in jail, only for a night it seems - sees his old mates but decides to keep his head down. They're both still young in the video and seems like they're realizing they have a problem, hence the "medication take me, we can cut the chase" But then... if you don't "One time push come to shove".
