Here's my math project on the mathematician John Wallis.

Here are the lyrics:
Born on November 23rd of 1616
In the town of Ashford, Kent. A mathematicians on the scene.
His father, a reverend, who shared Johns full name
Died six years later, there aint no one to blame.
Then three years after that there was a great plague.
He had to move to Tenterden. Oh man, what a drag!
In school, he learned logic, and GreekHebrewLatin alphabetic.
But his favorite subject of all was arithmetic.
It was that school, he showed potential as a scholar.
He thought the universities should give him a holler.
It was three years later when the kid was sixteen
That Cambridge came along and said, Kid youre pretty keen
Why dont you come to our school and become a doctor?
John said, OK, I wont get in trouble with a proctor.
Then, in 37, Wallis got his B. of Arts
And in 1640, John got his Master of Arts.
In that same year, he was named a priest;
Although that isnt what he is known for in the least.
Two years later, people knew bout him a bit n
He was chaplain for two years in London, Great Britain.
During this time he deciphered a letter
That detailed about the capture of the city Chinchester.
This feat is what had made him so rich.
But money isnt he needs to scratch his itch.
For he needed math, not for a job that was so formal
But for an everyday activity that for him was rather normal
In 1645, he moved to London where its fine.
That same year he got married when he was 29.
In 1647, he read Clavis Mathematicae.
And this is what had made Johns love for math come and stay.
He became a geometry professor in 1649.
Oxford was the school, that place is finer than wine.
And later John tried to teach some deaf people to speak.
He had some success although the prospects were bleak.
In 1652, he published his findings in a book.
It also talked about how proper English should look.
His first book of math was made in 1655.
It talked about conic sections and ideas hed contrived.
But his biggest contribution came one year later
When John Wallis wrote a book that impressed every playa hater.
The Arithmetic of Infinitesimals it was named.
It tells about incredibly small numbers! John proclaimed.
In this book, John found a way to interpolate a curve.
This made it easier to predict a trend that you could not observe.
He created an equation. Wallis Product it was called.
This equation made every mathematician enthralled.
John had found a formula thats used to solve for pi.
He even coined a symbol that stands for infinit-I.
Its shaped like that so you can trace it infinite times.
The only way youd need to stop is your hand cramps up sometimes.
This book helped out a scientist named Sir Isaac Newton.
With the binomial theorem that Sir Isaac was computin.
However, this book also created a giant rival
Named Thomas Hobbes who had a great mathematical arrival.
He claimed that he had found a way to make a circle square.
And Walliss book told him to Stop right there!
It simply is not possible for pi goes on forever.
So stop chasing that folly for it will happen never.
But the fiery dispute between John and Hobbes was fed.
And it would not be doused until Sir Hobbes was dead.
But Johns next book came in 56 cuz he is a fanatic.
The title of the book was Universal Mathematic.
In this book, he extended exponents be all reals.
Now negatives and fractions can be powers, John reveals.
The same year, 57, John rewrote two of Euclids works.
From geometric speech to algebraic tongue cuz they each have their own perks.
Then John Wallis took a break for 28 straight years.
But in 85 he wrote a book that startled all his peers.
Treatise on Algebra was Walliss last books title.
It anticipated complex numbers that are now so vital.
A complex numbers when a real and i are fused.
Its in your electronics that these numbers are often used.
In 1687, Wallis wrote a logic essay
The title of the book was Institutio Logicae.
Then in 1699, his math books were collected.
In Opera Mathematicae all their pages became connected.
But on October 23rd of 1703
John Wallis died in Oxford and his spirit was set free.
Now you may be wondering, Whats his secret for success?
He wanted to know the reasons for the things hed assessed.
John said when he was young that he had always yearned
To know the grounds or reasons of what I learnt.
