What a great tune .Neil Young seems to extract something from the tune and the sound that is really special.Like the great jazz giants of Parker [aka the bird] Coltrane and Miles Davis etc its a gift

I met Jeff Healy at Marti Frederiksen's and told those guys to listen to WORDS for motivation. I said " It's like he's at his Dad's funeral".

had the pleasure of seeing him perform in st john's nfld a little while back . I'm a lot older now than when i first got into this song & i used to play it over & over on my record player {dating myself } but I still love it !! . His drummer dropped by my store while they were in town .

you are absolutely right. He is the best. This is the one foundational song that set the groundwork for many of his compositions. This was the song that made me love all his music.

I've been lucky enough to see him three different times. Each time was different, and magical in it's own way. People should certainly realize by now this man is an artistic treasure that will never be recreated. Enjoy him! Long may he run.
