The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a science fiction comedy film based on the book of the same name by Douglas Adams. Shooting was completed in August 2004 and the movie was released on April 28, 2005 in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and on the following day in the USA. It was rolled out to cinemas worldwide during May, June, July, August and September.

The screenplay was begun by Adams, and completed by Garth Jennings and Karey Kirkpatrick after Adams's death in 2001, and the film is dedicated "for Douglas."

I remember sitting in the theater when I saw this trailer. As soon as I saw the words "Don't Panic," I practically jumped up and yelled "Yes!"

Back when this trailer first came out, someone, somewhere, made a fan version with Journey of a Sorcerer as the post-explosion music, and it was just sooooo much better:) Properly summoned up the right mix of excitement and nostalgia, the way this trailer should....

But I can't remember where I saw it, and can't seem to find it on YouTube.... anyone else know of it?
