This is my second run down the Beaver Run in Breckenridge, Colorado, USA! My first run wasn't pretty :) I've been a skier for years. But my brother keeps urging me to snowboard, since I was a skateboarder as a child. So here I am! My best friend Lissa is video taping me :) I didn't know she was behind me the whole time. :)

  • Wow, great for ur first time out! I didn't even go up the lift until my eighth day out!

  • I've got a double chin

    :D)

  • yur gud for the first time

  • i luv snowboarding!

  • @winterpillows yeah, good advice is when you fall do not put your arms out to absorb the impact because all of the momentum will just break your wrists. If falling backwards, bend your knees and land on your butt then tuck your chin into your chest so your head doesn't hit the floor, and when falling forwards let yourself land on your knees first and then with your arms bent land on your forearms. Hope this helps and have fun!

  • @avalvira yeah

  • @Vi3tFire9 pretend you have socks on and you're on a slippery floor... you take a run up and go for a slide standing up... whichever foot is in front of you is the foot that would be in front for snowboaarding.

  • @AllanNWayne - thanks, but i was sooooo tired after that. wish i could do toe turns, but i'm too afraid to fall. i know, i know, i'm a wimp. sorry, maybe just not cut out to snowboard. :(

  • @avalvira well, actually the foot you use to save your falling is the one in back. The foot you stick out is like the kicking foot in skateboarding. If you ride "regular" or "normal", your left foot is in front and the right one is the kicking foot placed in back. On a snowboard, ur usually strapped in with both feet so there is no "kicking foot" per se, but the right would be in back. If you ride "goofy", its the other way around. By the way, you sure aint bad for a first timer.

  • Thats really good I'm going snowboarding next week
