If our precognitive reactions are mostly determined, don't we discover our freedom of agency in the time between the impulse & the reaction? Isn't our freedom of choice something that we need to grasp & own before it becomes a constitutive element of our behavior? It seems that free will only exists within a context in which our determined behaviors can be & are operative. Don't I know, for instance, that it's possible not to pop my adversary in the nose because I've chosen not to in the past?

@tgambill Muhammad began radical Islam, and Muslims sacked Rome in 846, around 250 years before the first Crusade. In fact Muslims had conquered a third of the Christian world by the time of the first Crusade. No crusader set foot in lands not previously Christian...there was no sacking of Mecca or Medina. As for murder, in India Prof. K.S. Lal once estimated that the Indian population declined by 50 million under the Sultanate...that's just India. How about worldwide victims of Islam?
