here we have two wooden box circuits interacting with each other. the hex oscillator is made in the style of nic collins: six photocells mixed to diodes and competing for voltage dominance. it's housed in a 9.99 gram weight box with a sliding lid so user can control how much light is getting in. let it all hang out.
the light box is an original circuit made with a solid state relay. it pumps out AC in beat frequencies between an audio input and 60 hz. so the lights flicker in response to what you plug into it. in this case, the hex oscillator is the input, which in turn is modulated by the flickering light, and ta daaa! a light-based feedback loop.
autofocus can't handle the intense flickering, so go on and get blurry!
