Perfect take off for Dion's Runaround Sue, and I believe it is the Del Satins doing all the back up, what do you think?

  • joan jett sound alike

  • Wow, never thought of it til you just said it. Her, version/cover of "I Need Someone" she does sound a lot like her, good call!!

  • First time I ever heard her do anything besides "Ambrose." Wow, could the lady sing!! Great song; thanks for putting it on.

  • Your very welcome my friend! She also did another 5-6 more that'll blow your mind. It's sad that Ambrose is the only thing she was known for, and that was probably her worst song, or the worst, can't figure?

I'll try to post her others tonight.

  • Pretty good comeback from the lady's POV.

  • It sure is! Actually Dion did marry Sue & is still happily married today!

    BTW, thank you!

  • I love both the Dion version and this one. I have both on my iTunes

  • Love it! :D

  • well i need these lyrics cos i do this when singing, and try to turn male version into female version, so gotta get these lyrics......!!!!!

  • Linda Laurie's All Winter Long, Prince Charming, Ambrose (Part 5) and Oh What A Lover are all posted on You Tube. Also her appearance on TO TELL THE TRUTH.

  • you know something weird, when Dion released Runaround Sue, it was release with Laurie Records

  • Doesn't kick as much ass as "I'm No Runaround," but Linda Laurie's got a great voice.

  • That sounds like the exact same backing track Dion used. I could line the two up in an audio program and try to figure out for sure, but...no.
