  • Well directed, a very good Elsie, but sadly a poor Jack Point.

  • This is very good indeed, I was particularly impressed by Ms Schweitzer.

  • @cuddlyable3 It's a difficult role. In this interpretation, Jack has a heart condition. He has to seem sufficiently depleted to make his final collapse believable. But if he's too thoroughly lacking in sparkle, then he doesn't seem like a jester at all.

  • A very enjoyable performance of my favourite song from "The Yeomen".

  • Elsie sings circles around Jack who is just drab.

  • What a charming scene.

  • We have lost this year the most wonderful exponent of this song that I have ever heard - the great John Reed. I first saw him play Jack Point in Leeds and that wonderful performance has stayed with me throughout the years. Thank you, John, for all the joy you gave me in those wonderful comic roles you did to perfection. R.I.P.

  • Hard to imagine, but it sounded even better in person (saw it twice). Made hardened men smile and women smile to tears.
