In porn the girls choose who they want to have sex with so mainly its kinda an act but prostitution, it whatever and whoever and no STDS and stuff. I think both should be illegal.

The reason prostitution is illegal is because one person is paying another person to sleep with them. Porn isn't illegal because it is paying two people for a video of them having sex. porn is paying for a video not paying for sex.

Because porn girls have a choice and they are very strict about STDs and just because someone will have sex with someone for money doesn't mean they'll do it if stds are involved. Real porn stars are screened for them before and after sex. They also have a choice of who they wanna have sex with and they have contracts. Porn is pretty much scripted sex, not casual. Prostitution involves careless sex, stds, and disease which an unfaithful spouse or someone can bring back to the family. That's bad

In prostitution most of women get enslaved by their exploiters, so, many women do it because they have no choice. Porn actress are not forced to do it and it's the profession they want.

porn and prostitution should both be illegal. people should not to be aloud to make 'money from porn. I thought about it to and couldn't understand it either. There is so much porn already out there I don't think they could make it illegal to do or watch but common sense is common sense. I think it started with play boy then it got out of hand because they looked at a sex act the same as looking at boobs from a legal stand point.

My Answer is this... originally porn was supposed to be an educational tool to teach sexual positions and techniques to adults and also to help ppl with erectile disfunction to become aroused... that is why it was legal then, but you are right in that it has become exactly like prostitution so they should either be both made legal or illegal. cause otherwise it is a very strange and useless distinction...
