Ready. Aim. Fire: A-10 Warthogs At Warren Grove

Head north from Atlantic City, NJ and you end up in the Pine Barrens State Park. Nestled deep within the park is a range used by all branches of the military for target and bombing practice. This is footage from January 2007. Apparently the day to climb an 80 foot spotting tower is the day the wind is 30mph and the temp is 12. Regardless, it was great to see the A-10s dropping 25lb practice bombs and using their GAU-8 30mm cannon. We also got a few flybys when they were done!

The sound tells you how fast that gun fires. like 2 seconds you see the rounds hit the ground or see the smoke from the gun, you hear the noise. Man I love this plane. My favorite of all military aircraft. why would the air force want to retire this plane?!

@roguelead72 got the F16 K canopy , its used to start our tomatos in korea ,people get a good laugh at it ,they never bothered looking for it or collecting it ,the plane was complelely demolished as it went nose first into a field ,just missed a building and road ,the pilot did a great job as to guide it out from the main city though

@daewooparts They had an F/A 18 attempt to land at Cape May airport once, pilot ejected right before the plane went through the fence and exploded in the woods across the highway. Someone made off with the ejection seat.

@roguelead72 i remember seeing F16 parts raining down near the parkway when a pilot ejected once ! seen this happen twice ,once in korea too,that one was real close ,we found the canopy remains in the woods

My family moved to Barnegat back in the 80's and we'd hear the sound of the gun and wonder what the hell it was, found out about a year or 2 later. Also used to have the C-130's and 141's flying over the house on the way to do practice drops. Now if the F-16's would stop messing the place up by straifing schools and burning half the pines down, the range would rock.
