Me and my rockin buddies practised in a very cool old garage back in the 60's and yes we called ourselves a garage band back then. I guess we were ahead of our time.

Pretty good cover !

a bit tenuous, as if the band could fall apart at any moment. i always wonder if bands like this sound authentic on purpose or because they cant play well.
i like what they're trying to do.
btw "garage" was a term that was made up in the 80's, and the Kinks were 60s British Invasion.
carry on and cheers, a british beat fan since the day

This could be one of the ultimate garage band song to play.
It would light up any town's funk.

Nice cover guys! The lead was spot on and even Quaife's bass runs at the end were there. I was 14 when You Really Got Me exploded and I began playing guitar and bass and Pete's bass lines were just perfect against Dave's guitar rhythms, for Ray didn't really play guitar much at first. I had so hoped to hear Pete record a few songs with the original band. Maybe in heaven someday. RIP, Pete

@PRINCIPALBROKER Thanks so much for your kind words. I agree Pete Qualfe RIP was a great bassist and apparently kept the peace amongst the Davies brothers. This is the first cover we've ever recorded and wanted to justice to the song and the Kinks who are one of our greatest influences and one of the worlds most underrated bands. Gary Slammer
