I want TCITR to be a movie...but I also don't want them to fuck it up a bunch. Because movies can really REALLY screw a good book up

i think TCITR would be a boring movie. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely my favorite book of all time, but really, the movie would just be Holden walking around trying to get someone to listen to him, and there would be a bunch of dialogue and people would get bored of listening to him. Or at least the ones who haven't read the book. But if a movie was made, I definitely won't be those morons who'll say crap like "Ugh, they just totally ruined the book for me!" that doesn't make any sense.
