You may have read about making PCBs using a Portable Laser Printer and photo paper, but previous demonstrations showed that it's quite messy and inefficient. I'd like to prove the contrary :) The secret's in using satin-matte paper instead of high-gloss. With this you can make professional PCBs at home minus the soap-water scrubbing associated with high-gloss paper. Simple and clean :) by using Portable Laser Printer

  • Have you tried using acetone to release the toner from the paper onto the plate? Would probably suck for PCB as it has to be thick enough to be a resist coating but I wonder how it would work for trophy plates.

  • Not sure how it would work with printed circuit boards but the trophy plate you just did is what I was looking for. What brand satin-matte did you use or does it matter. I have to assume you mean inkjet satin matter paper similar to the glass inkjet photo paper they state in the PCB vids?
